Off-Track Garage Door Repair in the Las Vegas Valley
The problem
GRC received an emergency call: the garage door had come completely off its tracks after being bumped. An off-track door is the most dangerous state a garage door can be in — partially unsupported, heavy, and capable of falling — so this went to the front of the schedule.
Diagnosis
An impact — even a light bump from a vehicle — can pop rollers out of the track and bend the track lips. Once off track, the door must not be operated: every cycle risks a fall and multiplies the damage. On inspection, several rollers were damaged and the tracks needed realignment.
The work
The door was first stabilized so it couldn't slide or fall, then safely reset into its tracks. The damaged rollers were replaced, the tracks were realigned and their fasteners secured, and the door's balance was checked.
Safety checks
The full system was tested before being returned to service — smooth travel through the full cycle, balance at mid-height, and both opener safety-reversal tests.
The outcome
The door went back into service the same visit, running smoothly in its tracks, with the underlying causes (damaged rollers, misaligned track) corrected rather than just the visible symptom.
